Service provider PLDT has completed the training for the local staff of the City Government that will complement the company’s technical personnel for the CCTV command center.
The additional employees will undergo examinations and will be detailed to monitor all the 336 CCTV cameras in shifting schedules 24-hours/day to maximize the use of the modern technology in fighting and preventing crimes.
With more trained staff, authorities can promptly detect and conduct pre-emptive courses of action against would be criminals or at least apprehend them in a timely manner.
In fact, law enforcers and quick response teams can go after fleeing criminals while monitored in real time at the command center.
Meanwhile, the Liga ng mga Barangays passed a resolution requesting Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo for additional CCTV cameras to be mounted in their own so-called hotspots and interior roads to boost security and to monitor illegal activities in their own jurisdictions.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has already expressed his agreement with the 30 Punong Barangays for the procurement of additional CCTV cameras to be installed in strategic areas they have identified.
