Negros Oriental producers cite lack of FDA help

Negros Oriental producers are complaining that there is only one person assigned in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) provincial office.

This complaint was voiced by Danny Cabahug, president of the Negros Oriental Producers Association Inc (NOPAI) during the awareness training sponsored by the Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry last September 12, 2017.

He said, however, that local stores and supermarkets would accept their products despite the absence of registration.

Cabahug suggests that FDA add more personnel in Negros Oriental province to provide enough assistance. He also complained that the FDA website is not functional. The official website of the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines is
