No suspension of Enojo, yet – Roel Degamo

Roel Degamo

NEGROS ORIENTAL – Governor Roel Degamo categorically denied receiving the suspension order for Provincial Administrator Atty. Richard Enojo from the Office of the Ombudsman, which is connected to a different case involving a private party.

The clarification was issued by the Governor in front of the hundreds of Capitol employees and department heads. He also downplayed the effect of the preventive suspension as part of due process and does not in any way a sign that Enojo will lose the case.

Nevertheless, Governor Degamo promised to implement the suspension order even if it is against his loyal ally.

Enojo serves as Provincial Administrator and Provincial Attorney representing Governor Degamo as the latter fights against a number of cases filed in connection to the alleged misuse of the P480 million Sendong calamity fund in 2012.

Some legal pundits pointed out the seeming conflict of interest of Enojo serving as counsel of Governor Degamo while acting as Provincial Attorney and Administrator.
