Phil 4:6 NKJV “Be anxious for nothing, but with prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God.”
Everyone was astonished when a six-year old boy, suffering from extreme pain in his head caused by a unique kind of disease prayed for other patients, including the doctors and nurses in the hospital and made a request for his own healing as the last.
The boy was healed, and God took care of everything from finances to doctors’ fees. All of his doctors except for one, made their services free for his entire one-month stay in a hospital in Metro Manila.
J-boy’s life is a great blessing to me and to others who know him. He has grown with deep understanding of what faith is. As a young teenager, his empathy for others is extraordinary. His parents are more blessed to have a son like him.
Sometimes true stories are stranger than fiction. It is strange for a suffering six year old to be concerned of others more than he does for his own self. It is strange to suffer and be grateful. It is strange that even trials can be used to bless other souls. But that’s what happens when we trust God despite of unpleasant circumstances.
What happens when we pray? Usually, we come to God because we have our own concerns, rarely for others. God responds in many ways. He sees the intention of the heart. Most of the time, it is the right position of the heart that He is looking at, not so much on our outward physical position like kneeling or sitting down.
