The Environment and Natural Resources
Office (ENRO) and the City Health Office in Dumaguete will lead other government agencies and people’s organizations in conducting a clean-up drive along the canals in the city on August 17, 2013.
ENRO head Rey Awayan said the activity is in line with the city’s anti-dengue campaign aimed to prevent the spread of dengue-carrying mosquitoes in the city.
Awayan also called on the different schools and universities in the city as well as some community-based organizations to join the said activity.
Just recently, the Silliman University College of Business Administration and the NORSU Mass Communicators Society conducted a clean-up along Tinago coast and tree planting activity in City Dumpsite, respectively. (bjp)
