The estimated P230million approval for projects proposed by municipal mayors of Negros Oriental before the full body meeting of the Provincial Development Council last Friday signified their eagerness to support the infrastructure programs of the province, even if not all of them were physically present, said Governor Degamo.
“The reason among others why 12 mayors were not around was simply for political delecadeza thinking that some of them may have some political inclinations to other parties and their presence might be misconstrued by others,” the provincial chief executive said.
The governor told the CHRONICLE in his aqua center office (see foto) that mayors who are in their right track, cannot afford to lose precious infra projects so that on record, they are really in accord with the programs of the province.
A full- bound list of projects in the 2012 Annual Investment Program was distributed to all municipalities . But some mayos complained why their pet projects were subjected to realignment. So far, since his assumption, the governor has implemented around 15% of the total annual investment program.
The complete list of the annual investment program including the so-called “Addendum 33 to 38 ” was signed by Gov Degamo, Provincial Budget Officer Marichu Abiera-Alpuerto, and Jocelyn Gungob, provincial planning and development coordinator.
