While political party leaders and prospective candidates remain busy with the last minute arrangement to come up with full slates in their respective cities and towns, the electoral contest in May 13, 2013 is shaping into a generally one-on-one fight between the administration Liberal Party of First District Congresswoman Jocelyn “Josy” Limkaichong and the Nationalist People’s Coalition of former Finance Secretary Margarito “Gary” Teves, which has taken the role of the opposition, while the group of incumbent Governor Roel Degamo of the United Nationalist Alliance is seen as the third force. The following are the likely candidates for mayor in the first district: Vallehermoso: Mayor Joniper Villegas (NPC), LP bet still unknown. Canlaon City: Mayor Jimmy Clerigo (LP) vs. Judith Cardenas (NPC). Guihulngan: Guido Reyes (LP), Jing Paras (NPC), Liland Estacion (Independent). La Libertad: Lawrence Limkaichong (LP), Jun Lobredo (NPC). Tayasan: Engr. Susano Ruperto (NPC), incumbent Winboy Sameon (LP), Quidoy Sonega, and Antonio Bayawa III. Ayungon: Mayor Edsel Enardecido has now reportedly joined the NPC against Janice Noblefranca of (LP). Bindoy: Valente Yap (LP) and Joe Bonjong Dy. Manjuyod: Petit Baldado (NPC) and Felix Sy (LP). Jimalalud: Hasel Tuanda Billones (LP) and Atty. Dante Zamora (NP).

SECOND DISTRICT
Second District for Congressman: George Arnaiz (NPC) and Karen Villanueva (LP). Board Members for NPC: Mariant Villegas, Erwin Macias, Mellimooore Saycon, and Rommel Erames, widely seen as a perfect substitute of his father, Saleto Erames.
Sibulan: Marcela Bartoces (NPC-Arnaiz bet), Antonio Renacia (LP) and Maning Diputado (NPC-Gary Teves bet). Pamplona: Apolinario Arnaiz (NPC). San Jose: Mayor Emmanuel Carmello Remollo (NPC). Amlan: Bentham Dela Cruz (NPC). Tanjay City: Lawrence Teves (NPC) and Neil Salma (LP). Bais City: Hector “Tata” Villanueva (LP) and Mercy Goni (NPC). Mabinay: Ernie Uy (NPC) to face a possible Rotelio Cabusog candidacy. Dumaguete City: Chiquiting Sagarbarria (NPC) against Allan Cordova (LP). Sagarbarria’s line-up include Woodrow Maquiling for Vice-Mayor, for Councilors: Jose Victor Imbo, Dandan Teves-Leon, Franklin Esmena, Jr., Nilo Sayson, Albert Aquino, Lanie Ramon, Saleto Erames, Peter Catan, Joel Obar and Joshua Ablong.

Third District: Basay: Dandilgust Abrio (NPC). Bayawan City: Rene Gaudiel (NPC) versus German Sarana (LP). Sta. Catalina: Leon Lopez (LP) and Nathaniel Electona (NPC) with Ruben Melodia as Vice-Mayor. Siaton: Vincent Emil Arbolado (NPC) with Teopisto Rey Yap III as Vice-Mayor despite his expressed inclination to run as mayor even if as an independent.
