For days and weeks, the entire nation,
all national major TV networks
and the broadsheets were
focusing on Negros Oriental as the
sad victim of a big if not the biggest
earthquake in years.
Inversely, Negros Oriental also became an indirect tourism-blessing because at last, we were included in the “map” , that made it known that there is such a place as Negros Oriental , not just Negros Occidental.
The entire nation and even neighboring countries came to give millions of pesos in aid to over 30,000 families or about l50,000 victims of the February 6 earthquake of 6.9 intensity. |

“For the foolishness
of God is wiser than man’s wisdom,
and the weakness of
God is stronger than man’s strength.”

| Please let the governor answer this, not his administrator, unless he is the author of this very insignificant and cheap slogan, whatever it is called. Who ever coined this slogan is doing the governor a dis-service, a turn-off for his political victory or political demise. The following is the letter emailed from a taxpayer. |
