Governor George Arnaiz welcome the announcement of the Department
of Social Welfare and Development that they will be releasing
a total of more than P23 million pesos for Negros Oriental as
part of the continuing “child friendly program” of
the province.

Dengue victims may be penalized in town
This time, being sick with Dengue can yet be punishable by law.
For fear that the dreaded viral disease known as dengue will severely
affect the
growing economic activity of this town, local legislators had
come up with an ordinance that will penalize individuals and those
responsible persons
in various places caught having stagnant ponds or receptacles
that may contain
water which might start the dengue menace in this town and or
its vicinity.
