“Electrifying” P50M Banica Bridge

Workers of the Negros Oriental Electric Cooperative II, in coordination with project engineers of the ongoing construction of a full span concrete bridge near the BIR, were able to safely relocate double circuit three phase primary backbone poles to clear the worksite.

Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo had requested for NORECO II to relocate the poles so that the next phase of the project that shall involve the installation of girders to support the bridge’s deck where both motorists and pedestrians can cross.

NORECO II had to cut power supply in the immediate vicinity of the construction site last weekend to ensure the safety of the workers. Power was restored immediately after the tasks were completed.
