SAY WHAT YOU MEAN PDI headline of November 8 ‘07: “Senate probes cash gifts”…CASH GIFTS nga ang sinabi, entonces – maliwanag na hindi “bribe” ‘yun! So what is the inquiry for? More opportunity for political grandstanding/ anti-administration propaganda? Whatta waste of public funds and executive time! Right you are, Senator Ed Angara, this matter is best left to the Ombudsman!
Senator Alan Cayetano says “the blue ribbon committee would likely summon Pampanga Gov. Ed Panlilio who admitted receiving the dole-out”…otra vez, DOLEOUT nga ang sinabi – por eso, claramente na hindi pa rin “bribe”‘yun…!
FIRST THE CLAP We laud Gov. Ed Panlilio’s honesty…the press releases were neat & dainty…
NOW THE SLAP
Can Gov. Panlilio, for all his credits in theology & philosophy as a priest…can he categorically say that he received the money with the explicit understanding that he has to deliver any undue influence, advantage, or favor in return…and to whose advantage might that be…?
If Panlilio or any other credible witness can… then the PGMA bashers can have their heyday and file their bribery case… If not, itigil nyo na ang bulok na pamumulitika!

Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Cruz calls the 11-year old Mariannet Amper’s suicide a “summit of desperation” out of hunger and poverty…and relates this incident to the young girl’s “social surroundings & commuanity’s failure to correct abuses, and to censure graft & corruption”…Now, this is rather far out…! The girl only needed some money for a school project, and wished for jobs for her parents…masyadong malayo na yata ito sa graft & corruption isyu…Ngayon father, ang tanong: what has your church in Davao City been doing all along to shepherd its flock…?
This column is indignant over the shades of political color (part of propaganda ?) Cruz is trying hard at - in rendering the whole picture with…! You might be an archbishop now, but first and foremost, you are a priest. Go back to pastoral work, father! Maybe when people will learn more about Divine Providence… wala na pong magtangkang magpatiwarik!
