6-year old pupil hit by Isuzu dies

Homicide charges are poised to be filed against a truck driver who figured in a traffic accident resulting to the death of a 6-year old pupil in Barangay Matuog, Tayasan, recently. The suspect, Randy Generoso, 38, of Barangay Concepcion, Manjuyod was identified as the one driving the Isuzu Truck, which ran over the 6-year old student of the Bible Baptist Church, who was killed instantly.

The traffic incident report said that Generoso was negotiating the National Highway past noon when the victim suddenly disembarked from the tricycle and crossed the road without warning startling Generoso who failed to stepped on the brakes of his driven Isuzu truck and hit the victim. The pupil died on the spot while Generoso voluntarily surrendered to the authorities.

Meanwhile, a 43-year old man was allegedly stabbed to death last week by his neighbor Nick Tapales in Barangay Solongon, La Libertad over personal differences. The victim sustained several stab wounds and was rushed to the Guihulngan District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician. Responding lawmen managed to arrest the suspect.
