Today, food authorities are discovering foods that fight cancer. This malignant neoplasm (cancer) is found to be increasing in the whole world.
Everyone dreads cancer for it is not only so costly to treat but extremely difficult to cure. It is a fact that only a few miraculously survive cancer once it sets in. Thanks God, there are now natural ways to prevent cancer by eating the right nutrition according to Dr. Patrict Quillin in his book “Beating Cancer with Nutrition.” Here are the top 10 Anti- Cancer Foods:
1. VEGETABLES – Rich in anti-oxidants and anti-cancer nutrients and phytochemicals, plus rich in cleansing fibers. These include colorful carrots, tomatoes, squash, and more. The cabbage family – cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, the allium family – garlic, onion, and many other vegetables.
2. COLD WATER FISH – They are loaded with anti-cancer fats including EPA (ecosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docohexaenoic acid) which slow down the spread of cancer and stimulate the immune functions. Ex. Tuna, tarogo, mamsa, tangigue, and other fish from deep ocean water.
3. LEGUMES – Garbanzos, kidney beans, pinto beans, and many other which are rich in protease inhibitors for fighting cancer, phytic acid, genistein which inhibit the making of blood vessels from tumors and the cleansing activity of soluble fibers.
4. WHOLE GRAINS – Rice, oats, wheat, barely, corn, rye. They contain components that can help stem the cancer deterioration they get broken down in the intestines to butyric acid which is a powerful anti-cancer agent.
