MENIONG STAYS!

Provincial administration party Lakas-Kampi titular head ex-Rep Herminio G. Teves was prevailed upon by no less than President Arroyo to stay with the administration party and recant his resignation.
The biggest blow to the Teves party leadership was when ex-Rep Jing Paras was named official Kampi candidate for the first district, instead of the Teves-backed incumbent Lakas- Kampi Rep. Josy Limkaichong , and worse, without consulting the local party leaders under Meniong.
Immediately when Paras was named Kampi official bet, Limkaichong wasted no time in bolthing to the Liberal Party NoyNoy- Mar Roxas team, who welcomed her with open arms.
However, Meniong Teves because of his respect for the President, who kept faith with his son Gary as finance minister, has reconsidered his resignation in deference to his commander in chief.
Teves told the CHRONICLE that he will still support Josy Limkaichong in the first district against Paras because of his old ties with Julio Sy, father of Limkaichong.
LOCAL FIGHTS Teves in sum, told the CHRONICLE Friday night that the fight this election in Negros Oriental will be strictly localized. Lakas will not put up a gubernatorial official candidate, but will support every mayorable who is loyal to the Teves clan.
Should Macias insist on putting up a complete slate in each town from Bacong to Basay under the Nationalist People’s Coalition banner, which he heads, to challenge those backed by the Teveses, then the reelectionist Governor cannot expect their support.
In Dumaguete City, Teves will support the team of Chiquiting Sagarbarria, a relative; in Tanjay, he still awaits if his nephew incumbent Mayor Boy Lawrence Teves will seek his support; in Bais , Meniong will support his nephew Angelo Teves for mayor vs. Karen Villanueva, daughter of Mayor Tata Villanueva, who is running for congress.
LIBERAL WELCOMES The Liberal Party still welcomes the overtures of Dodo Macias to join the Noynoy bandwagon. Similarly, the LP is not also closing its doors in case Vice-Gov Petit Baldado will switch from NP to LP.
Baldado was the only mayor in (Manjuyod) NegOr who was not replaced by Pres. Cory Aquino after he People Power Revolution in l981, Baldado was sworn as NP by Sen. Villar, before Noynoy declared his candidacy. (see related story page one).
The following bets are expected to battle it out in the 3rd District. They are Mayor Lenin Alviola (Lakas but now more identified with Macias) versus Dauzin Mate of Lakas; Dauin, former Vice-mayor Frances Araula (NPC) vs. Vice-mayor Neil Credo (Lakas); Valencia, Ricky Gonzales (LP) vs. Doro Olasiman (Lakas); Zamboanguita, Mayor Kit Adanza (Lakas but more identified with Macias) vs. a possible reliable Lakas partisan; Siaton, Mayor Bingbing Arbolado (Lakas) vs. Albert Ator (NPC); Sta. Catalina, Mayor Ruben Melodia (Lakas) vs. ex-mayor Leon Lopez (NPC); Bayawan City, Vice-Mayor Rene Gaudiel (Lakas) vs. Councilor Bonbon Lim (NPC) and Basay, Vicemayor Nono Amorgiente (NPC) vs. Capt. Edith Vera or Dandilion Abrio (Lakas).
Sta. Catalina municipal councilor and Negros Oriental President of the League of Councilors Peve O. LIgan, incumbent Board Member Roel De Gamo and Atty. Edmund Dy are the Lakas-Kampi bets for the Provincial Board.

puro na lang teves, sa panahon ni marcos meniong teves is already in politics, elementary pa ako welnun na kini siya nga mangawat ug balota. so mga people dont vote for them. dili maayo ilang mga kaagi sa amahan pa. look at bayawan walay lain nga galingan sa tubo TULONG lang gihapon nga halos dili na kagaling ug tubo tungod sa karaan na kaayo, naay motaod ug galingan sa tubo harangun dayun ug hantud karun walay kumpetensya. looy kaayong mga planters kay sige’g kadaut ka minyung nga galingan, magtalay na lang ug paabot. look at negros occ. nagtalay ang mga sugarcane central, tapos karun mga teves modagan ug balik sa politiko, do they think the people will vote for them..not anymore.

the sign of downfall to the teveses. the 1st election with a good opponent and it is a poll automated election.
Ang mga teves, mahinumdom ra man na ug sa mga tawo ug ma-election na. After election, tua gapalami ra man na sila, unya ang laing tawo patrabahoon para nila. Unya karon kay murag naa may isog nikontra nila, unsa naman ni Doy - I look forward to the fall of the teveses… and that must be soon. Abi ninyo, ang mga teveses, wala man na silay kalainan sa mga Ampatuan sa Maguindanao…. and LET THE AMPATUANS AND THE LIKE, DIE….
I am so bothered about the attitude of the teveses - I don’t think any Teves candidate or any teves-backed candidate deserves even a single vote, come election day in May 2010. . Ask me why? Well, let me enumerate:
1) The Meniong/teveses have the attitude of ‘owning’ the people or the candidate they support kay ug modaog, ila man ang pangalan. I am so innocent that it was only very recent when I learned the work of the teveses to support 2 opposing candidates for mayor at the same time. What a shame! Teves-backed candidates must realize that this is a clear insult to their capability and credibility. In Bacong for example, I think Lenin is very smart having withdrawn from the support of the Teveses…. Good job, Mayor Lenin! Maybe after your separation from them, Meniong’s mistress, si Ms. Dauzen Mate na himoon niyang candidate kontra ni Rudy Yee nga iya pong candidato. Mura ra man na siya ug gapasabong ug manok nga bisan ug asa ang modaog, iya ra gihapon tanan. Kahakog ba kaayo!
2) I want to agree with what Tronsos is saying… that teveses are not visible especially after election period. I want people to know that Meniong Teves is a ‘USER’. He uses capable/credible people to work for him as his arms to reach out and legs to walk for him. But as I said, these people are smart - watch and see because teves’ legs and arms are gone! I want to see the cripled, crawling Teveses. Sauna man gud, si Butch ADanza ug ang ubang candidato ra man ang patrabahoon tanan ni Meniong para siya or ang iyang pangalan ang modaog, unya kay karon, SMART naman pod si ADanza who decided to run against Henry Teves….power-hungry Teves, how are you now that your arms and legs are gone????? Remember, 4 months is not enough to grow your toes and fingers to start a new life…..
3) let’s talk about illegal drugs in Negros…
How can Teveses stop those drug lords and users when ARnie, your own grandson, Henry’s brother, is a drug addict and a pusher himself?????
