The municipal government here recently confiscated around 10,000 board feet of illegally cut lumber found floating along the Tanjay River.
The lumber is believed to be abandoned by still unknown illegal loggers operating in the vicinity who were able to escape policemen conducting anti-illegal logging operations, leaving behind the contraband logs.
