I have been looking around for it for a long time now in the asian market but whwn they have one it can't stay in the shelves for days..huhuhu. I miss my granma's kamunggay soup, so yummy.
This is a lesson that ALL of US must realize! This is a lesson that we have to learn from this simple plant. Never underestimate the humble, even the humblest of plants, in the end, we needed them when we get into trouble. It is a problem in us we took complexities to the point the simple and humble had been taken for granted!!!

So please, let's begin with the basics, like the malunggay plant we all love...Learn humility today and realize the exaltations tomorrow because of this virtue!!!

Well,it's very true that malunggay is a 'wonder plant' because it's not just a food but a medicine. It may therefore be a functional food. Malunggay promotes good eyesite, digestion, facilitates bowel movement and is a cure for stomach ache. So malunggay should not be underestimated to be the only food for the poorest of the poor, it's the food for all humanity. No wonder why my late Grandad kept telling us when we were little to eat tinola with malunggay kay maka 'BRIGHT' and maka taas sa kinabuhi.

So there you are. Happy eating.

I have a friend who uses malunggay for everything from headaches to small scrapes and bruises. She even fed it to her dogs! Sometimes it amazes me how some people can look down on this lowly vegetable and say that it is something that only poor people would eat. With today's economic worries it's good to know that more people are seeing the usefulness of malunggay.
